Keystone Pacific Celebrates 25 Years of Managing Thriving Communities

Keystone Pacific Property Management, Inc. is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Over the span of 25 years, Keystone Pacific has grown into one of the most respected and qualified professional association management companies in Southern California.

Keystone Pacific Property Management, Inc. was founded by Sharon Todd Anderson, one highly motivated individual from the Keystone state, Pennsylvania, with a practical organizational vision. When Sharon Todd Anderson decided to create her own company, she wanted to build a professional association management firm that centered on support and team work. She had a vision of a company that valued its relationships with its clients and its employees.

“I started my own company because I wanted to create a favorable work environment where people had opportunities to advance their careers and where they enjoyed working,” said Sharon Todd Anderson. “The strength of every company depends on its employees.”

On July 2, 1982, Sharon took her concept and opened the first Keystone Pacific Property Management office in Newport Beach with only two staff members. With a couple of typewriters and desks, the team began building the company that committed to its original principles. Sharon Todd Anderson’s goals were to increase the level of professionalism in the association management industry and provide excellent service to its clients. With the guidance of these principles and its corporate vision, Keystone Pacific successfully became an industry leader in providing professional association management.

Today the company’s headquarters is in Irvine and has regional offices in Rancho Santa Margarita and Temecula. Keystone Pacific manages over 46,000 residential and commercial units in 200 plus associations. The company’s outstanding account retention record is a reflection of Keystone Pacific’s commitment to provide excellent service to our clients. In fact, 57 accounts have remained with Keystone Pacific for 10 years or more, some of which are the company’s first clients.

In 2001, Sharon Todd Anderson appointed Cary Treff, then Keystone Pacific’s Chief Financial Officer, to oversee the daily operations of the company. A 25-year veteran of financial and operations management in commercial and residential real estate, Cary Treff is a certified public accountant and holds a California real estate broker license. Under the current leadership of the company’s President, Cary Treff, Keystone Pacific has grown to 100 staff members and the company has added new services, capabilities and explored new markets.

Eminent in the Orange County market, Keystone Pacific is now also recognized as a premier management company supporting communities in the Inland Empire. In addition to offering professional community association management services, Keystone Pacific extended its services to offer financial management, preventative maintenance, developer support services, department of real estate budget services, forward planning, residential management and community website services.

“If you look back over the past 25 years, it is not hard to understand how Keystone Pacific grew into such a successful company. Sharon learned from experience that employee and customer relations are essential to the success of any organization. The company has worked extremely hard to provide the best service to our clients. Throughout the course of the 25 years, we have continually enhanced our management systems and provided extensive training for our staff to better serve our clients. By implementing these principles and efficient systems, Keystone Pacific quickly gained respect throughout the industry,” said Cary Treff.

Keystone Pacific is one of the founding members of the California Association of Community Managers organization. The company is one of eight community association management firms in Southern California with a Certified Management Firm (CMF) accreditation. This designation demonstrates Keystone Pacific’s strong internal financial controls and ethical standards of practice and professionalism. The company has been an active member of the Community Association Institute’s Southern California chapter since 1982 and is also a member of the Building Industry Association of Southern California. Keystone Pacific has earned an Accredited Management Organization (AMO) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management, attesting to the company’s high level of performance, experience and financial stability.

“Keystone Pacific has been managing thriving communities for the past 25 years. With the support of some of the best people in the industry, Keystone Pacific will continue to lead and manage vibrant communities”, said Cary Treff.
